Most personal trainers in The Hague will tell you to eat less, move more, and stay positive. That's not coaching — that's a slogan. If you've been through a few programmes that produced results for three weeks and then faded out, the problem probably wasn't your motivation. It was the method.
I'm Ramón Tromp, fitness coach in The Hague. I work with a science-based approach to body composition, muscle development and long-term health — and I do it in English. No crash diets, no bro-science, no generic gym plans. Just training that's built on what research actually says about how the body works.
What science-based coaching actually means
The fitness industry is full of dogma. Detox programmes. Fasted cardio myths. The idea that more is always better. I don't teach any of that.
Science-based coaching means your training programme is built on current evidence in exercise physiology and nutritional science. It means your progression is planned, not improvised. It means when something isn't working, we look at the data — not at your willpower.

Free intake consultation We start with an honest conversation about where you are, where you want to be, and what's stood in your way before. I'll ask about your training history, your lifestyle, your nutrition and your goals. Based on that, I'll tell you whether I'm the right coach for you — and you can decide whether my approach makes sense for where you want to go.
A programme built around you Every programme I write is individual. I don't use templates. Your training will reflect your goals, your schedule, your body and your starting point — and it will evolve as you progress.
Coaching in The Hague — in English We train together in The Hague. I'll coach your technique, monitor your progress, and adjust the programme when your body is ready for the next step. Nothing is left to chance.
